With yesterday originally forecast as the only dry day of the week Husband and I headed for Milldale and ignored Dove Dale instead opting for a walk through Wolfscote Dale. We certainly picked the best day of the week and the right location as we enjoyed blue sky, the last of the autumn colours on the trees and a found a lunch-spot where the sun and shelter meant we were as warm as toast.

What gorgeous views...wish I was there!
WOW - great sky! Glad you had a good walk. We bimbled down to Hawkshead and Ambleside today, not very exciting but trying to make a start on the dreaded ****mas shopping. It was mild, dry but grey and overcast all day. I'd love to see some sky that colour (smile)
Lovely photos! So much colour, it's been very grey here for days!
Hi Angela,
Fantastic views and sounds like you had a great walk with DH... after that you would need a great big piece of cake!! LOL
Thank you for your comments about my christmas cake, my grown up family love it so I make 4, one for me and my DH and then for my daughter and her family and for two of my sons and I think they eat theirs all by themselves.
I love it too, hence I am trying to lose some more weight before Christmas!!LOL
Chris
A lovely area especially when a little sunshine is in the offing.
Good Luck to DS with his business venture.
Oooo gorgeous scenery - you take some fabulous photos. :0)
